ABOUT THE THEATRE
The Victoria Hall Theatre (or as we know it, Vicky Hall) has a comfortable auditorium seating around 120, making it a great venue for plays and musicals.
You’ll find it on Bury Road in Harlow, Essex, CM17 0ED. It’s just opposite a reasonably sized free car park, but get there early as spaces go quick! Visit their website to learn more: victoriahalltheatre.co.uk
Converted into a theatre in 1995 and run by volunteers, Victoria Hall is available to hire for anyone wishing to stage a performance. Home to community theatre groups in, and around, the Harlow area, and the majority of productions are staged by local people.
The theatre is in the process of raising funds in order to upgrade certain areas and has just finished a part of their refurbishment plan by building a new stage, adding the traditional red tab curtains and developing wing space backstage!
The seats are terraced so everyone gets a great view. An insider tip – the only access to the stage is the back door, so look out for entrances from the rear and slightly chilled actors in the winter! There is a small bar available before the performance and during the interval.
Do note that the seats are not numbered, so most tickets are on a first-come first-served basis. On sell outs, you’ll probably be asked to budge up next to your seated neighbours to allow others to sit down!
When we do shows at Vicky Hall, we normally use our own box office – look at the individual show page for the best number to call.
