May 23rd/24th – [Weds/Thurs, 19:30 at the Unit] – Pre-Audition rehearsals

27th May – [11:00am at the Unit] Audition Day!

Please note: You will have to be a member of EHOS in order to audition and there will be opportunites to become a member during the Audition process.

Wave Goodbye to “WETTY”

It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to “West End Through the Years” The ensemble cast have worked tremendously hard as they took the audience on a journey through some of their favourite West End shows. On a run plagued with technical difficulties, the effort rehearsed in the numbers shone through with wonderful voices and some quick tempo and very professional dancing!

It is a rare moment when a show gathers a cast with such a high number of members who are able to both belt out a tune AND move their bodies onstage. This made the big choral numbers pretty spectacular to see and hear!

There seemed to be a great camaraderie developed during this particular show – probably down to a combination of the absence of learning pages of dialogue and the “EHOS Ethos” of rehearsing and having fun.

The cast seem to be feeling a large dose of the “Post show blues” after all is over, but they can be proud to look back on three fabulous nights of entertaining the people with song, dance and a borderline pornographic rendition of “Dead or Alive”!

At the recent EHOS AGM, the winners of the ‘best in show’ awards were announced.

Congratulations go to the following:

Best Performer – Craig Gray (Captain Tempest)

Farewell to the Forbidden Planet!

Congratulations to all those involved in “Return to the Forbidden Planet”

Audiences were thoroughly entertained by this highly energetic show and the fantastic band had them dancing in the aisles by the finale!

It seems that the influx of young new members to this show gave an extra dose of vibrance. They seemed to fit right at home with the “EHOS ethos” and many laughs were had during the rehearsal process! We hope they stick around for future productions.

Black and Gold Ball

To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of EHOS we will be holding a Black and Gold Ball. The evening will consist of a 3 course meal (+ coffee), a band and dancing. All current and past members as well as friends and family are welcome.
Dress Code – Dress to Impress – DJs and Evening Dresses encouraged.

We are very pleased to announce that we have added another show to the year.

Due to how well we have settled in to Vicky Hall over the past few years we have decided to put Bouncers on there on 7^th-8^th October 2011.

Hailey Budd is back in the director’s seat for this one, so email her if you are interested or would like more details.
