STORY

Dorothy Gale and her dog, Toto, are in trouble with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry - Toto's been in Ms Gultch's garden again, and this time the local busybody tries to take the dog away. He runs back to Dorothy who plans to escape. On her way she encounters a Prof. Marvel who (allegedly) tells her fortune, stating her Aunt Em is ill. On her way back to tend to her aunt, Dorothy is caught in a tornado. She is knocked unconscious and wakes to find herself over the rainbow in Munchinkinland. Glinda, the Good Witch of the North instructs her to seek the Wizard of Oz, but avoid the Wicked Witch of the West. The Scarecrow, Tinman and Lion all help her on her journey back home.

"A production directed with energy and ideas..."

"The Wicked Witch was played by Hailey Budd in suitably strident voice, who on her entrance on a broomstick worried a small child on my right who kept her eyes firmly closed. Whereas Glenda the Good Witch, played by Madeline Stoller, arrived literally flying gracefully through the air and was sugar sweet (and opened eyes)."

"EHOS president Eddie Connolly rightly claims that such hard working amateur groups help to keep the tradition of musical theatre alive, despite increasing costs. They fully deserve all the public support they can get."
